A meeting of natural materials and modern design: In a Copenhagen apartment, Scandinavian design aesthetics shine in warm light, creating an inviting atmosphere. The mix of sensual Occhio luminaires and organically inspired objects and forms revives the tradition of an aesthetic movement deeply connected to its homeland.

Naturalness, high-quality materials, and calming colors define the Scandinavian aesthetic. In Copenhagen, Sofie Brünner, Creative Director for RUM Magazine among others, designed an apartment for Occhio where selected design icons, natural textures, and the elegant design language of Occhio luminaires form a harmonious unit.

Portable Sento luminaires rise as modern, expressive objects above the design elements, which are further enhanced under their light. The soft glow creates an ambiance that accentuates the tranquility of Scandinavian design.

The harmony of contrasts

Warm wood tones, sharp edges: A coffee table and shelf by Filippo Andrighetto form a strict frame into which the cloud of five Luna sospeso pendant luminaires playfully float like a cloud drifting through the air. The transparency of the glass globe is echoed by the metallic mesh chairs.

"For the interior of the Occhio apartment, I wanted to juxtapose the lights with a curated selection of sculptural art pieces and limited-edition furniture. The focus is on the mix of contrasting materials."

The play with contrasts also characterizes the details. On a sideboard, angular wooden frames stand out, telling stories of craftsmanship and nature, while io tavolo gazes upon them like a visitor from other spheres.

In a still life-like composition of several bowls, Luna basso fits in like a small artwork of its own. It creates a light island for itself and its neighbors, highlighting its uniqueness.
