The long-standing collaboration between Occhio and Bang & Olufsen has been enriched by another impressive facet: Germany's largest Bang & Olufsen showroom has opened on 400 square meters in the trendy district around Munich's Viktualienmarkt. On two floors, you can immerse yourself in the world of perfect sound and feel what is present but remains invisible. The high-caliber origins for an emotional, perfect listening experience, on the other hand, become visible thanks to a sophisticated lighting concept by Occhio, which models the room with light depending on the situation and mood and makes it shine in different scenes.

From space to experience

In the new Bang & Olufsen showroom, the motto is: Make your choice! On the upper floor, the inviting ambience of an apartment unfolds, where you can experiment with the various applications of the products. Depending on the living area, the desired scenario is once again emphasized with selected Occhio luminaires. Mito cosmo move, which can be adjusted in height and lighting mood depending on the situation, has been placed above the kitchen unit. Whether for private cooking or a prestigious guest reception, whether in daylight or at dusk: Mito cosmo move transforms rooms into a place of experience.

While a Luna sospeso cloud invites you to the table in the dining area, other members of the Luna series illuminate other living situations: Luna parete and Luna scura luminaires set soft accents on the walls, while Luna basso and Luna sogno table luminaires and the Luna piena ceiling luminaire create a cozy, private atmosphere. The opulent seating landscape, on the other hand, benefits from the light of Gioia equilibrio and Gioia lettura, whose feather-light, spatial interplay opens up many possibilities. The concept is complemented by spotlight variants such as Più alto and lui piano.

The peace in strength

The welcome area with reception desk, defined by an open staircase and the History Wall, was deliberately lit discreetly to create an inviting atmosphere. This was achieved with three Sento sospeso pendant luminaires, two of which have a special length and hang down over twice the height of the room. They not only bring the different materials to the fore and give the central staircase spatial depth, but their light also brings a harmonious balance to an area that accommodates many different impressions, impulses and information.

An eye for the essential

In order to draw the focus perfectly to the Bang & Olufsen products, Più alto 3d track spotlights were chosen for the presentation area. The decision to use black for the track and spotlights makes a clear statement for the central display area, providing a special setting for the highlights of the collection. In the shop window, lui alto spotlights with multifunctional zoom lens put the exhibits in the right light and demonstrate the full range of their capabilities with a high degree of flexibility.

Waves of light and sound

Visible from afar is the 'headphone bar' in the shop window, an experience zone for music enthusiasts who want to enjoy the sound of Bang & Olufsen with a view of the city and get up close and personal with the products. This scenario is accompanied, among other things, by the iconic Mito sospeso luminaires, which trace the undulating movement of notes in their constellation in different suspensions. The niche along the wall is illuminated by Più alto 3d spotlights, while Mito soffitto on the ceiling welcomes visitors. On the staircase to the upper floor, on the other hand, a Mito aura wall awaits, its magical glow guiding visitors upwards.
